Susanna Malarkey's Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. At the Evanston Animal Shelter we believe in compassion for all companion animals and the power of the human-animal bond. The Trot for Tails fundraising event allows us to continue to heal and care for the animals in our shelter and to serve the community with programs that keep pets with the people who love them.

The events of this past year have shown us that animals are even more important than we ever imagined. They are so beneficial for our mental and physical health. I would be lost without my dog and cat. Winnie and Lil Bit have been true companions through all of life's ups and downs. They give unconditional love and just ask for some snuggles in return.

I began volunteering at the Evanston Animal Shelter in August 2019. I started unsure of what I was exactly getting myself into, and now I countdown to my Thursday night shift all week. I've picked up some bonus volunteer opportunities of picking up donations from Target for the pet food pantry and chauffering dogs to/from the vet which is located close to work. Let me just say, adding a dog to your commute makes traffic a whole lot more pleasant. I have gotten to know so many fantastic dogs throughout my time volunteering and seen them get much needed medical, fed, exercised, and then placed into loving forever homes. All of these opportunties would not be possible if it weren't for donations. Your support goes directly to helping animals that are just looking for some love, snuggles, and a long happy life.

Every dollar puts a smile on a pups face. Just look at that beautiful one up above!
