At the Evanston Animal Shelter, we believe in compassion for all companion animals and the power of the human-animal bond. We endeavor to not only heal and care for the animals in our shelter and to find them forever homes, but to also serve the community with support programs that keep pets with their people.

The needs of the community are always growing and EAS works hard to meet them head on.  When families hit hard times (as so many did this past year), they shouldn't have to face the devestating choice of feeding themselves or their pets as well.  Pets are there to give us uncondtional support and love.  The additional emotional hardship of having to give away a pet is understandably unbearable.

And so the Evanston Animal Shelter stepped up and decided (among many other efforts) to grow our Pet Pantry Program.  What started as a small project ended up providing over 50,000 lbs of pet food during the heights of the Covid Pandemic.  Currently our program provides supplies to the local Meals on Wheels chapter and works directly with 40+ families a month, giving them pet food, litter, and other necessary pet supplies.

Throught his online fundraiser, I'm asking you to help me continue our work.  Lets keep more pets at home, giving comfort and love to the people that call them family.
